Ask your parents about recycling and how you can help

Put your rubbish in a bin, don't throw litter on the ground

Lets recycle and have fun!!!

Plastic Bottle bird feeder

You will need:

Plastic drinks bottle with a lid

  • Wire or string

  • Bird seed

  • Scissors

  • Pencil or old biro pen

Method:

  • Cut a hole in the side of your bottle large enough to allow a free flow of seeds, but in such a way that it won’t all fall out on the ground in the slightest puff of wind, and won’t get wet if it rains.

  • Make a few small holes in the bottom of your feeder to allow any rainwater to drain away.

  • Hang it with wire, or even strong string from a tree or your washing line or on your window.

  • You can also make smaller feeding holes and push a pencil or pen through your bottle to make a little stand for birds to perch on.

  • When your feeder starts to wear out, pop it in your recycling bin and make a new one!
