Sandown Orchard and Nursery Tour

Join us for a special visit to the Nairn Allotment Society Sandown Orchards and fruit tree nursery on Saturday the 30th of April - just in time to see all the apple blossom!

Des from the Nairn Orchard Society will be showing us the life cycle of an apple - from rootstock to established tree, as we learn more about managing an orchard and the importance of apples and fruit-bearing trees.

There will be two tours, one from 10:00 AM -  11:00 AM and another in the afternoon from 14:00 - 15:00.

Please note that there is not much parking at Sandown and it will probably be fully occupied by plotters, we encourage you to walk or cycle out to the allotments, the nearest car parking would be in Tradespark.

Please let us know if you require assistance getting to and from the Sandown Allotments - we may be able to provide transport on the day. Remember you can rent a Green Hive e-bike if you fancy a spring cycle!
