Bumblebags Sewing Group Saturday 6th April Saturday 11th May Green Hive Hub, Links Studios, Grant Street, Fishertown at 11am
Take part in our sewing group at the Green Hive hub, upcycle unwanted fabric to create reusable bags to be donated to local shops to reduce the number of plastic bags used in Nairn. Learn new skills and meet some new people.
Tradespark Woods Litter Pick Sunday 7th April, 10am-12pm Meet at the picnic area on the moss-side road side of woods
Suggested by Lizanne after doing a litter pick herself and getting a lot of support online with many more people saying they’d like to clear the rubbish in the woods. We will provide bags and gloves and there will be some snacks and drinks afterwards provided by the local Co-op.
Community Orchard Day Friday 12th April Sunday 19th May Meet at Viewfield Community Orchard at 12.30pm
Lend a hand to keep the community orchard maintained and thriving. Tools and gloves provided and no experience necessary, just come along and join in.
Picnic in the Park Saturday 13th April 11am-2pm Viewfield Community Orchard
As part of Nairn’s first food festival, A Taste Of Nairn, pick up some lunch from the artisan food market in the community centre and join us for a celebration of spring in the orchard, with games and activities for kids and big kids alike.
Beach and Riverside Litter Pick Saturday 27th April, 10am-12pm Meet at Nairn Sailing Club
Come help clean up Nairn’s beach, dunes and riverside and do something about the problem of marine plastic pollution. We will provide bags and gloves and there will be some snacks and drinks afterwards in the sailing club.
