On Friday 6th December, Seaman’s Hall was alive with music, laughter, and an abundance of festive cheer as Green Hive hosted its first-ever Silent Night Silent Disco Fundraiser. What a night it was!
The event was a huge success, with guests and volunteers turning out in full force, dressed to impress in some truly spectacular festive costumes. From glittering Christmas jumpers to imaginative sustainable outfits, the creativity on display was a highlight in itself. The Christmas outfit contest brought plenty of smiles and cheers, with prizes awarded for the best, worst, and most sustainable attire.
The dance floor was buzzing as guests enjoyed the unique experience of choosing from three music channels, one of which was created by our Chief Executive, Matthew Withey, creating a vibrant yet delightfully quiet party atmosphere. Families, friends, and volunteers danced the night away, fuelled by mulled wine, free hot chocolate, and the festive spirit.
A Community Effort
This unforgettable evening wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible hard work and dedication of our volunteers and staff. Your commitment to Green Hive’s mission shines through in every event we host, and we are so grateful for all that you do. From setting up the hall to running the festive bar and keeping the night running smoothly, you made this event a true highlight of the season.
A special thank you also goes to Alex Williamson, whose talent behind the camera captured the magic of the night perfectly.
More to Come!
Silent Nights showcased the power of community, creativity, and sustainability—all values at the heart of Green Hive. It also brought a lot of activity back to Seaman's Hall, showcasing it as not just a venue but a true community hub. It was a fundraiser like no other, and the funds raised will go directly towards supporting our ongoing environmental and community projects in Nairn.
Thank you to everyone who attended, dressed up, danced, and made the evening truly magical. Here’s to more unforgettable moments in the future!
