We've moved!
As part of our 2020 reopening strategy we have decided to consolidate all of our equipment, activities and administration work into our workshop space in Balmakeith Industrial park.
Whilst we were sad to be leaving the Links School which was our home for over two years, we feel that the time is right for us to combine all of our projects into one space - giving us much needed room for storage and expansion!
We wish the Nairn WASPs artists and team all the best and thank them for all the support and good times over the years.
The Green Hive staff team have redesigned the workshop interior to make it adaptable for our variety of activities and social events and compliant with the 2-metre distance rule, we plan to invest resources, funding and lots of enthusiasm to truly get the most out of our brilliant Green Hive unit.
If you haven't already visited our unit in Balmakeith, we will shortly be resuming our plastic recycling collections, using a booking system and a special "red zone" drop off area - Caroline will also be in touch with our Bumblebags volunteers in August to arrange a safe return to our well loved activity.
We are also changing up the types of plastic we are accepting for recycling - we are now asking you to keep a hold of your bottle lids and bright coloured HDPE (type 2), LDPE (type 4) and PP (type 5 - polypropylene) plastic.
You can get in touch with the Green Hive staff about our activities and plans for our new mutlifunctional Green Hive Hub here -
email Andy for questions about our plastic recycling and Enterprise projects
email Caroline for questions about our plans for Bumblebags, orchard days and litter picking.

What does "Community Hub" mean to you?
Last year we asked you to think about what a community hub would mean to you -
What sort of things would happen there?
Where can you imagine a hub for Green Hive?
What is important to you to include in a hub location?
We listened to your feedback and advice and now that we have consolidated all of our operation into our Green Hive workshop, we want to explore the next stage of our development with you right by our side. We would be delighted if you could take a couple of minutes to fill out our survey below to tell us what really matters to you when it comes to choosing a hub for Green Hive that works for the community. Your answers on our survey will allow us to solidify our vision of a community hub, and help take us one step closer to our goal of a Green Hive hub that supports and empowers the Nairnshire community.
