Working in partnership with the Youth Development Team with Highlife Highland, Green Hive offered an afternoon workshop for secondary age pupils on one of their in-service days on Tuesday 21st February.
Kim Neill, one of Green Hive's fabric project volunteers took the three young participants through the various steps needed to create a cushion cover ready to take home at the end of their workshop. It was great to see how quickly the young people picked up the sewing skills, so much so they finished the task well within the time. We hope to see more young people within Nairn learning sewing skills and making use of our fabric diverted from going to landfill for some fantastic projects.
