Green Hive has recently been awarding Adapt & Thrive funding from Scottish Government to support us to further repsond to the pandemic and build back better for the future. Green Hive is looking to reduce our long term reliance on grant funding by developing our various trading opportunities as an innovative and award winning community and envrionmental charity. We already have a 'dream team' of people working and volunteering with us and are now looking to add two talented contractors to our team.
1. Self-employed Marketing and Sales consultant needed for Nairn’s Green Hive
Summary:
Green Hive is growing and now requires a self-employed Marketing and Sales Consultant to work with the Green Hive Manager and the team to build our trading income as we look to become more sustainable and reduce our reliance on grant funding. The tasks will involve working to achieve sales targets by:
Generate trading income and environmental benefits from expanding the hiring of our e-bikes and our active travel work
Increase the production and creation of recycled plastic and fabrics products from our Green Hive workshop for sale both online and in stores, through reseller agreements
Develop, market and sell a range of craft making workshops which can take place at our Green Hive workshop in Nairn
Identify, market and hire out our space to organisations needing workshop space for their activities
Develop relationships with public bodies and organisations which directly leads to a contract or service level agreement focused on our environmental activities
Work with us to leave a legacy of growing trading income beyond the duration of this time limited contract
A proven successful track record in marketing, sales and retail, preferably in Highland, is needed for this work.

2. Self-employed Business Development (employability) consultant needed for Nairn’s Green Hive
Summary:
Green Hive is growing and now requires a self-employed Business Development consultant to work with the Green Hive Manager and the team to build our trading income associated with employability programmes as we look to become more sustainable and reduce our reliance on grant funding. The tasks will involve working to achieve income generation targets focused on employability:
Develop successful relationships with public bodies and enter into service level agreements focused on volunteers gaining employability experience at our workshop, whilst generating non-grant income for Green Hive
Develop referral relationships with organisations who are supporting people to spend their self directed support budgets through activities at the Green Hive workshop
Work with the existing Enterprise Project Officer and the volunteer team to test and develop sustainable volunteer programmes focused on employability
Work with us to leave a legacy of growing trading income associated with employability beyond the duration of this time limited contract
A proven successful track record in business development with a focus on employability, preferably in Highland, is needed for this work.
