On Saturday 20th January, Green Hive was delighted to welcome four eager participants to our first ever Parent & Child beginners sewing workshop.
In the first half of the workshop the youngsters aged between 7 and 11, along with their responsible adult, were guided by Julia Tucknott, our fabulous volunteer tutor, in basic sewing skills.
After the break the group went on to make three cute animal themed juggling balls, which all went off to their new homes with their new owners at the end of the session.

These are suitable for those aged 11+ who have attended one of our other workshops.

Adult Sessions
Are you a beginner or an experienced at a sewing machine? We welcome all skills and experience levels to our community 'Fantastic Fabrics' sessions. Join us at Seaman's Hall every Thursday between 11-1. Choose to be part of our group projects or take on your own using our donated fabric. We have plenty machines for everyone!
Weekend Fabrics workshops, the first Saturday of every month we offer a drop in session. There is always a warm welcome and the kettle on! NO experience is necessary, everyone is welcome. Join us on Saturday 3rd February 11am-2pm.
